Zeek Landscape Design & Construction Type: Outdoor Space - this showcases our work, how we work and what we do. This sits in a beautiful neighborhood, combining function with form to add to the charm of the Craftsman-style cottage. We chose tumbled bluestone for its rustic, natural appearance and ability to withstand the elements and expertly designed and installed the beautiful, tumbled bluestone stairs. So this unique material gives a durable path but fits your landscape. Given the blown up scale of the upper stairs, a simple tapestry of native plantings with inherently colorful foliage and evolving textures and colors across the seasons was introduced. Ornamental grasses and flowering perennials are deliberately positioned to draw the visitor's eye to the entrance in a welcome splash of seasonality. We worked to plan for the existing conditions of slopes and root systems that we needed to work around to achieve our goal. Our experienced operatives dug down to ensure the steps would be sturdy for many years while maintaining the existing vegetation. As a result, the install was up to our high standards for quality and craftsmanship. This results in a cohesive even outdoor space that delivers the lifestyle the client has envisaged with added value to the home. Tumbled bluestone paired with lush and colorful landscaping greatly enhances access and creates an inviting and welcoming environment. The client was thrilled with the modernity and commented on how well integrated the stairs were with the other parts of the garden. It is not only an enhancement of the utility of the property, but also an addition of an ageless, classic beauty that will be enjoyed for years to come. Here at Christopher A.
