Jeremy Taylor Landscapes is a full service design-build studio in Los Angeles with a licensed Landscape Architect & Contractor on staff. We aim to push the most bang for each buck while being considerate to every customer budget as well as keep the site green sustainable. This can be done in part through onsite material reuse like salvaging plant materials or broken concrete. Another approach would be the management of water, as in, fortifying an irrigation design of plants and ensuring the plants are drought resistant. We also look for ways to let water percolate naturally into the ground as much as possible to recharge the parched underground water table, using permeable materials like gravel, decomposed granite, and decks, and planted joints between pavers & flagstone. Yet the real challenge in creating a great design lies in harmonizing the desires/wants of the client with their character, the nature or spirit of the place, the site natural is, and the character of the architecture itself. We do our best to keep the style of our vision intact while adding a personal touch between design and construction for every client. This blend provides us the capacity to build long term relationships with our clients and satisfy the owner with the transformation of their garden. Jeremy graduated with a BS in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1997, followed by a varied work experience including resort design, urban design & planning, park & recreation design, and design-build residential construction. Finally in 2002, he apprenticed with Jay Griffith, one of the most vanguard landscape designers in the modern movement. Jeremy has six years of unmatched experience there where he continually advanced his design sensibilities, refined his space planning instincts and explored a more nuanced approach to drought tolerant planting design. Jeremy has also acted as a consultant to Jamie Durie Design over the past six years. We are experts in space planning, low maintenance gardens, sustainable landscapes, drought tolerant planting, and eco-friendly designs. We are adept and can convert the client garden into an incredible livable, and we owe that to our range of skills, knowledge, and creativity. In 2005 Jeremy realised his goal to start his own landscape architectural practice; he discovers that this truth adds to the projects in terms of satisfaction, and every garden rekindles his passion for the profession.
