Situated in the beautiful area of Healdsburg, this has successfully blended functionality with landscape appeal, resulting in a custom outdoor space that fulfilled our client's request. The started with an unremarkable landscape - a typical backyard that was ordinary and unremarkable in both design and function. Our team worked through the plan to address various aspects of the existing backyard, including drainage issues and unevenness, to be sure we had a sound base to build the new backyard. We included various pieces into the backyard, such as a beautiful custom-built pergola. The custom-built pergola is structurally sound, fully functional, and an essential visual feature to an outdoor space where people can meet and enjoy the outdoors. A large, durable, high-quality, local flagstone patio was built to provide an outdoor space for sizeable gatherings with durable, sustainable materials. A wide variety of native plants were also selected to fulfill our sustainable landscape towards a durable, year-round colored and textured backyard. We specifically chose drought-tolerant plant species to achieve a sustainable plan while also being in line with the community's water-conscious ideals. To further enhance the backyard as a functional outdoor space, we included a welcoming fire pit surrounded by natural stone boulders. This provided a space with great character to relax after a long day or to socialize with friends into the evening. Landscape lighting was included to highlight displays of the plants and hardscaping as a multi-functional space, offering both beauty and form. Our skilled team overcame additional challenges along the way, including integrating the design with existing structures, determining proper irrigation systems, and installation. Our attention to detail has created a seamlessly entertaining outdoor experience for our client. The end product is a peaceful escape for our client to escape to, reflect upon the day, entertain friends, and escape for an environment to be one with nature.
