About This Project

Contemporary Courtyard - Seattle, WA Sage and Stone LLC is excited to present the Contemporary Courtyard a beautiful transformation in Seattle, WA. This was developed for a client who wanted a modern aesthetic with functionality for an outdoor living space and provides evidence of our commitment to quality and ingenuity. The courtyard consists of a modern layout that combines natural stone pavers with warm wood decking, creating an easily navigable host setting. The stone and decking were specifically chosen for their durability and ability to blend with the surrounding architecture. A custom-designed water feature flows smoothly and adds ambient sound and sight to the space. Featured LED lighting enhances the courtyard experience after dark. A Key challenge was the site's topography which consisted of uneven existing topography and limited access to heavy machinery. Our skilled team was able to overcome with hand tooling and advance planning to produce a seamless install, resulting in a courtyard space that is level, welcoming, and comfortable. To complete this cohesive design, we chose plant material that identifies the Pacific Northwest with year-round interest. We installed native ferns and flowering shrubs that were hearty survivors of Seattle’s climate. The incorporation of a vertical garden wall added a contemporary flair while maximizing green space without sacrificing the modern lines of the courtyard. The end product is stunning. The Contemporary Courtyard transforms the client’s vision into a tranquil outdoor retreat for relaxation and gatherings, demonstrating the careful craftsmanship and acute attention to detail from the Sage and Stone LLC team. We are proud to improve the aesthetics and functionality of this home in Seattle and to create a special space to build memories in the years to come.
