Contemporary Stout Naturalistic - Seattle, WA Completed by Sage and Stone LLC, the Contemporary Stout Naturalistic landscaping plan offers a perfect combination of modern design and natural beauty specifically for our client in Seattle. Located in a vibrant city, our design team faced the unique challenge of transforming a small outdoor area into a lush green space that would thrive in the Pacific Northwest. With attention to location and site, we began with local materials; natural stone for walks and pathways, sustainably harvested wood features, and plants from the PNW that incorporate cultural and ecological value. The design incorporates a warm patio of weather resistant composite decking that extends into lush plantings of native ferns, flowering shrubs, and ornamental grass. In the Pacific Northwest, the intermingling of texture and color is perfect for all seasons. To counteract local drainage issues, we also implemented a rain garden to manage the runoff. The rain garden enhances the resiliency of the landscape while promoting biodiversity through habitat for local pollinators. Collaboration with our client ensured that materials and planting beds lined up with their desired modern yet naturalistic design scheme. The final garden is a beautiful space that contributes both function and tranquility, allowing our clients to host social gatherings or simply contemplate the environment. The client was incredibly pleased with our attention to detail and quality of work.
