About This Project

Ponce Residence LandStudio is delighted to introduce the Ponce Residence, which is a breathtaking landscaping that embodies our pursuit of excellence and creativity in outdoor design. Located in Coral Gables, this captures the symbiosis of nature and architecture, all while artistically realizing the client’s vision. The landscape design includes various native plants that bloom throughout the year and are chosen for their resilience and interest. We utilized vibrant bougainvillea, tall palm trees, and many different colors of hibiscus to create a tropical space. Using permeable pavers creates imagination with sustainability by allowing rainwater to pass through, replenish the sub-surface water, and allow for proper drainage in the landscape. One key challenge regarding this is the slope of the property. Our team devised the landscaping by carefully designing tiered garden beds with natural stone retaining walls to prevent erosion while providing a beautiful garden feature. We also used this design approach to create usable zones for entertaining, relaxing, and play, as well as helping with drainage in the landscape. In addition to the tiered garden beds, we constructed a custom-built, gas fire pit, surrounded by natural stone seating for outdoor gatherings under the stars. We strategically placed low-voltage lighting throughout the landscape to highlight the attractive foliage and provide ambiance and safety throughout the evening. The final product is a stunning landscape that compliments the architectural design of the Ponce Residence while providing the homeowners with their own outdoor retreat. Our dedication to detail and quality craftsmanship provides genuine enjoyment and has increased the value of their property.
