Manhattan Beach House by Green Landscape Designs Located on the gorgeous shores of Manhattan Beach, the Manhattan Beach House demonstrates the artistry and craftsmanship of Green Landscape Designs. There's something special turning a typical residential backyard into a coastal retreat. We worked with the homeowners to develop a landscape that would compliment the exquisite natural landscape and transform their vision of an outdoor living space into a complete design ideology. This features an amazing hardscape with natural stone pavers sourced locally from the surrounding region that perfectly match the style and environment. Collaboratively and artistically, with our skilled craftsmen and artisans, we designed a spacious patio area for gathering and entertaining enjoyment featuring a built-in fire pit surrounded by real natural wood custom seating. Not only does this area create a cozy and inviting place for your friends and family to congregate, the patio and hardscape add another dimension to the home's aesthetic value. With the addition of multiple varieties of native plants that are drought resistant, fall flowering perennials and tall ornamental grasses for privacy, we strategically complimented the existing natural beauty and shoreline as a backdrop. All of our plant selections and installations are suited for the coastal environment and require little to no maintenance, which was appealing to the homeowners and aligns with their desire to create a sustainable landscape. To create the terraced garden beds on the steep slope of the property required ingenuity infusing hardscape features and uses of earth in a way that softened the edges of the slope and created depth and dimension. We also installed an irrigation system in compliance with the latest techniques in water conservation planning to maintain the sustainable red-green landscape with its lush pop of green and other colors. Our sustainable design approach contributes to our commitment to healthy environments and reflects our values as a well-established company and staff of Green Landscape Designs. The outcome and transformation of the Manhattan Beach House at completion was stunning. The homeowners were ecstatic with their outdoor space as a vision of the piers and rooftops came to fruition not as a place to retreat but a drawing card for family and friends to gather and enjoy one another's company.
