Venice Roof Garden by Green Landscape Designs Perched atop a breathtaking residence in Venice Beach, the 'Venice Roof Garden' by Green Landscape Designs offers the ultimate intersection of luxury and nature. The creation of this unique rooftop retreat required precise planning and thoughtful design work, transforming an underused space into a lively place for relaxation and entertainment. The employs a mixture of native plant species, such as drought-tolerant succulents and aromatic herbs, specifically chosen for their resilience to the coastal climate. Natural stone pathways lead to a modern wood deck, contributing a warm and inviting experience as folks stroll through the foliage. The features custom planter boxes made from reclaimed timber and elevated plant life so the greenery receives maximum light. One of the most significant challenges of the was the structural integrity of the rooftop. Our team of designers and builders were committed to creating a safe landscape while achieving an aesthetically pleasing design. The installation phase of the resulted in a need for lightweight soil additives, engineering exploration of built-in drainage on the rooftop to prevent ponding, and considerations for weight distribution and structural capacity. The outcome was stunning. The Venice Roof Garden was transformed into an urban oasis with a soft sitting area melted into the waves of plant color and gracious elevation and skyline views. The clients were thrilled with their transition from house to a retreat, utilizing the unique qualities of the landscape to engage nature in their daily lives.
