Brentwood Back Yard by Green Landscape Designs Located in Brentwood, Los Angeles, and completed by Green Landscape Designs, the 'Brentwood Back Yard' is a prime example of our commitment to quality and creativity in landscaping. Each design aspect involved the total transformation of a bland outdoor area into an extension of the home that is filled with life and natural beauty, yet conveys an experience of serenity and enclosure. This design incorporated diverse landscaping features including a fully custom drought-tolerant garden filled with California native plants to keep water usage as low as possible and to promote sustainability. Natural stone walks were placed throughout, leading to a sitting area with fine outdoor furniture that is perfect for entertaining guests or basking in a summer evening. One of the biggest obstacles was hydraulic; there was evidence of heavy storm-water runoff in the hardened naturally sloping surface. Grading and drainage were carefully thought out to ensure there was no pooling of water, and all the proper methods were used. Another aspect of working with high-quality materials was to grow all-natural materials at the site, such as the reclaimed wood used for raising garden beds and permeable pavers used for the patio. Both of these features yield a better-looking and performing back yard. Overall, each design consideration led to an amazing back yard that incorporates indoor-outdoor living with an outdoor fire place, beautiful green foliage and atmosphere lighting that is warm and inviting. The client was super thrilled with the and said they loved how their backyard now reflects their lifestyle and love of Mother Nature.
