About This Project

San Francisco Garden Show 2015 In 2015, The Garden Route Company had the wonderful opportunity to demonstrate its ability at the well-known San Francisco Garden Show. The was ambitious and objective-driven in terms of artistry and sustainability, and successfully transformed the large footprint into an urban oasis conveying the identity of the varied California landscapes. We designed the garden layout with a mix of native plants that would decrease unsustainable water use and bolster the local wildlife. The centerpiece was a beautiful stone path made from locally sourced granite, lined with a range of California poppies, succulents, and ornamental grasses, which were chosen for being resilient and good for seasonal variation. The raised garden beds were constructed from reclaimed hardwood and provided a rustic feel to the space. While the site encountered some issues with uneven terrain and limited sunlight, our landscape architects managed to navigate these challenges creatively through terracing and a smart mix of shade-tolerant species as needed in determining the blend and layering of plant choices. In the end, we achieved an amazing garden in terms of functionality and beauty! The garden's seating area provided a tranquil space surrounded by herbs and flowering perennials where thousands of people relished a pleasant smelling experience. The Garden Route Company always guarantees quality craftsmanship and meticulous detail, which was apparent in the San Francisco Garden Show . The comments from visitors and clients expressed an appreciation for the mission to create beautiful and sustainable landscapes within their community. The garden was a beautiful garden in the exhibit and a hit among those who enjoyed the veil of the Garden Route Company.
