Cole Valley Modern The Garden Route Company is happy to present the "Cole Valley Modern" landscaping , an amazing transformation that reflects a modern sensibility while being sensitive to the natural beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area. Nestled in the "heart of Cole Valley," this embodies our commitment to quality and purpose of design for client deliverables from Belmont to Portola Valley. Our team designed a multi-functional outdoor place for the homeowner that combines modernity with sustainable landscaping practices, including drought tolerant plants specifically chosen for their ability to adapt in order to create a year round display of color, while also reducing overall water consumption. Additionally, native grasses and flowering perennials enhanced the overall beauty and helped support local pollinators, further boosting health of the local ecosystem. There were some challenges with this , ceding to the steep terrain and limited access for heavy equipment. However, our skilled landscapers dealt with hurdles head on and creatively terraced the space as well as leveraging smart planting strategies to both maximize usable areas and maintain soil integrity and proper drainage. All hardscapes were made with premium materials, including purchasing stone locally to create the pathways, as well as a modern concrete patio to bring the living space outside. Further, areas adorned with modern furniture and custom built planters accentuated the work and added both usefulness and style, creating a beautiful outdoor place for entertaining owners and guests or relaxing and unwinding. In the end, we crafted an awe-inspiring landscape of truly natural beauty while balancing purpose and sustainability to both delight the homeowner and enhance the overall value of the property.
