About This Project

Artistic Haven by Terra Ferma Landscapes Located in the heart of Burlingame, we are excited to present 'Artistic Haven', a unique landscaping from Terra Ferma Landscapes. This turned a typical backyard into a serene retreat that meshes with the beauty of the surroundings. It consists of thoughtfully curated native plantings, beautiful flower beds, and quality hardscapes that provide a fluid transition from indoor to outdoor. The path of stone at 'Artistic Haven' has been batched from local granite for the bespoke pathway that meanders through the lush garden, taking visitors by gregarious clumps of lavender and ornamental grasses dancing in the gentle breezes. A stunning water feature that mimics the sounds of nature has been added to enhance outdoor enjoyment, allowing the garden to draw local birds and pollinators, adding to the ecosystem. There were challenges, at the site’s slope and the associated drainage, which Terra Ferma’s talented team worked to resolve. Terraced gardens were integrated along with adequate drainage allowing the age of the landscape longevity as eroding was prevented. Sustainability was a factor to consider for this landscape. Drought resistant plants and plantings were selected for the landscape to preserve the beauty while consuming less water than traditional plantings. In the end of the and completion, the client was thrilled with the results. 'Artistic Haven' is indicative of Terra Ferma Landscapes' commitment to craftsmanship, design, and sustainability. Not only does this increase the property value, it allows clients to have a peaceful space to enjoy in a vibrant community of the Bay Area.
