Featured Green Acres Landscaping & Aquascapes | M Residence Located on beautiful Eagle River, the M Residence demonstrates the art of the possible by Green Acres Landscaping & Aquascapes serving Anchorage, Elmendorf Afb, Fort Richardson, Chugiak, Girdwood & Indian. In this ambitious landscaping , a standard yard was completed and turned into a spectacular outdoor oasis, customized for the client and their lifestyle. The work centered around native Alaskan plants incorporated with contemporary landscaping practices for optimal beauty and sustainability. Highlights: a hand-chipped stone pathway of locally harvested flagstone winding across the overgrown garden beds. We chose a wide variety of hardy perennials and flowering shrubs that can thrive in the area climate but still look great all year around. Some of the biggest obstacles were how undulated and challenging the land was, and access for larger machines was nearly impossible. Our team managed to provide creative grading solutions in these challenging areas but some manual excavation was required in order to keep the integrity and appearance of the landscape design. The design also included a striking water featurea peaceful pond with a waterfall that not only added appeal but attracted local animals as well to enjoy the surrounding nature. Water creation was a nice relaxed sound and perfect get a way for the home owners. Ultimately it became a spectacular vista of an integrated work of art that satisfied both the need for shelter and the desire for creative visual flow for the clients of the M Residence. They have a vivid outdoor area to entertain or escape after a long day.
