Green Acres Landscaping & Aquascapes : Playground In the most beautiful Eagle River backdrop, enter the 'Playground' featuring this fun backyard transformation by Green Acres Landscaping & Aquascapes. With service to Anchorage, Elmendorf AFB, Fort Richardson, Chugiak, Girdwood, and Indian we developed a state of the art, multi-use, playground for children and families to enjoy. An example of a well-designed that integrated natural play elements with environmentally-sustainable materials. We used locally harvested timber for the custom-built play set, ensuring both sturdiness and sustainability. The play structure features climbing walls and slides as well as swings for the more daring, all set into an ecologically landscaped space. We further beautified the area with native plant plantings that bring in color but also attracts wildlife. One of the biggest obstacles we encountered was the site was quite hilly, which required creative grading to establish safe and accessible play areas. From ensuring the levels across the property for drainage till getting around boulders, our expert team worked tirelessly to deliver the within the given time constraints. Permeable paving materials coupled with pathways pared with two beautiful aspects of water runoff. The end goal is a beautiful play scape that engages exploration and movement while seamlessly connecting to the site. Positive feedback from our clients confirmed our vision: a place where families could come together, free from worries the weather, and where everyone could feel safe and play in an environmentally friendly space.
