Together with the scenery of Anchorage, Chugiak and Eagle River, restoration artist Green Acres Landscaping & Aquascapes is pleased to have just completed the ' Patios, Walkways + Living Spaces ' , a stunning example of how to turn a tear-drop into a heaven to pop. The goal of this ambitious was to improve the clients outdoor living and provide functional solutions while maintaining a high level of design. Beautifully Crafted Patios Out Of Natural Stone Pavers The Patios Are Durable, Stable & Stylish Places To Gather & Relax To accompany these spaces, we created meandering pathways to lead visitors through the lush gardens with permeable materials to ensure drainage and sustainability. Designed with purpose, each path flowed into the next, as one enters different sections of the landscape, emphasizing the indigenous plants in the process. By far one of the most challenging aspects of the build was the property itself it had a sloping grade, which meant that we needed to get creative with grading and drainage. We navigated these challenges with our design team who understood that everything had to be both beautiful and functional in an Alaskan climate. We used native plants that do well in the local area so that their care can be kept low and biodiversity in the area be preserved at the same time. The crowning jewel of this was a beautiful exterior living space with a custom fire pit and ample seating. We intentionally designed this space to be the center of family life so it would provide warmth and atmosphere on those cooler nights. Fighting the elements, our team handpicked all the weatherproof materials to ensure a lasting beauty. The end result was a stunning transformation that the client was extremely pleased with. Functional paths with patios and a desirable amount of livable space made a backyard oasis that aligned with their lifeways.
