This landscape renovation reimagined outdoor living by enhancing the natural beauty of the property with functional, sustainable, beautiful design. The designed landscape included an array of thoughtfully designed features, including a custom stone patio that serves to unify an outdoor living space for family and friends. Locally sourced natural stone was used to provide durability, beauty, and aesthetics, while the seating area was softly secured with native plantings that provide a harmonious landscape for the local environment. A low-maintenance organic garden bed was also installed alongside the patio filled with perennials and ornamental grasses for color and excitement throughout the seasons. The primary challenge with this property design was the sloped terrain, which required out-of-the-box thinking for appropriate water drainage. The landscape designer created a series of terraced gardens with locally sourced gravel and sustainable building materials to create efficient drainage while ensuring the underlying landscape was protected and aesthetically pleasing. In addition to the garden beds, a custom irrigation system was installed to efficiently supply water to sustain the landscape. Sustainable practices were incorporated to minimize environmental impact and enhance the outdoor space. The end result was a spectacular landscape successfully achieved in accordance with the client's original design vision. The combination of hardscape and softscape elements created a stunning destination for relaxation, enjoyment, and refuge. The client's excitement was palpable as they were already planning many future family and friend gatherings together in their newly inspired yard.
