Located on the beautiful Lake Sammamish, this renovation was intended to not only improve the natural beauty of the landscape, but also to accommodate specific client needs for aesthetics and functionality. This began by gathering information on the site. This assessment allowed our team to see current problems such as poor drainage and overgrown vegetation. With this knowledge and a commitment to creating a tranquil outdoor oasis, we combined native and drought-resistant plants to have a landscape that is sustainable with low maintenance. The newly terraced garden beds also provided a sense of depth while they resolved some of the drainage issues and stabilized soil from eroding which is essential for healthy plant growth. Our team used high-caliber materials including paths of natural stone and the use of reclaimed wood for raised garden beds to elevate an organic yet refined effect. It was also important to have some sort of water feature and design-wise, this provided a beautiful and maintained area for stillness against a backdrop of nature and encourages local wildlife to interact with a maintained landscape. Our team, with expert skills, had to carefully consider each design element including where and how to use modern landscaping techniques while sustaining the natural charm of the environment. Each detail and element, including the selection of species and placement of hardscaping, were considered before being drawn into the plans of the site. All in all, the result is a beautiful landscape with maintained gardens which provides an instant invitation for comfortable family gatherings while delighting the client. The entire scheme with rich gardens, inviting paths, and an incorporated water feature will satisfy and support an experience for those at the property.
