Contemporary Lakeside Entertaining BARKMAN LANDSCAPING INC is pleased to showcase 'Contemporary Lakeside Entertaining', an incredible transformation in the beautiful Davison area. This was designed with a modern and natural approach, delivering the best space for outdoor enjoyment and relaxation by the lake. This landscape is centered around a stunning multi-level deck that was constructed out of high-quality composite materials for durability, low maintenance, and a sleek, contemporary design. Elevated seating areas allow for views that are unobstructed by the lakeside and integrated LED lighting provides ambiance for entertaining in the evenings. Additionally, we constructed a custom fire pit surrounded by natural stone seating to enhance our client's outdoor enjoyment by providing warm seating for relaxing under the stars. The immediate landscape hosts a variety of native plants and ornamental grasses that were purposefully selected to establish themselves in the climate of the property and create texture and colors throughout the seasons. A stone path encourages guests from the deck, through the landscape, and into the lakeshore, allowing for flow between the spaces. One of the challenges of this site is the degree of slope to the property; grading solutions created a stable path to the lakeshore while making it accessible to guests. Our team leveled the area and constructed retaining walls from local stone to construct terraced gardens, ensuring plant stability all while eliminating future erosion issues. The resulting spaces work together to create an entertaining outdoor living area that balances functionality and elegance, making an impression on our client with a contemporary flair and an inviting atmosphere.
