Rural Poolside Escape by BARKMAN LANDSCAPING INC. The 'Rural Poolside Escape' installation by BARKMAN LANDSCAPING INC. is located in Davison, Michigan. The goal of the was to transition a typical, flat backyard into a stunning, luxury escape that blended both luxury and nature. The creates an incredible landscape experience starting with the custom in-ground pool, surrounded by beautiful, natural, hand-cast stone patios that allow access from the pool to the land. A durable, slip-resistant natural stone product was selected for the patio material, allowing elegance and peace of mind, while entertaining family and friends. Beyond the pool, a variety of native plants and ornamental grasses were incorporated into the surrounding landscape, bringing color and eco-friendliness, plus offering generous wildlife habitat, while minimizing upkeep. The primary challenge was leveling the entire area to promote proper drainage and eliminate persistent pool area water. Our highly skilled staff completed a complete grading package, associated with no-watering at the edges of the pool area. The installation and aesthetic were completed by technical placement of multiple underground drainage systems. The end result is a beautiful retreat with a fire pit, integrated seating and lighting, and a relaxing space that can be used every month throughout the year. The client is extremely happy with their private retreat and have successfully built a space to relax and entertain, making it a reality with the skill and expertise of BARKMAN LANDSCAPING INC.
