Our latest in Davison titled, "Backyard Entertaining Space," is a testament to our character in demonstrating quality work, creativity, and care for our clients. The began with an exploratory consultation with the client to understand his vision for space that would capture the feeling of relaxation and entertainment compared to an outdoor space. The challenge of working on a slope of the yard presented an opportunity for our team to get creative, developing a multi-level layout featuring a beautiful patio made from paver stones created from quality materials that will stand up to the elements for years to come. The natural colors of the paver stones were perfect for creating a sense of place with their surroundings. A custom-built pergola was installed to create a shaded option for dining on the patio. The structure was made from locally sourced cedar, and we used treated cedar materials wherever possible to promote sustainable products with longer-lasting materials. As an added feature, we added energy efficient LED lights into the structure, allowing for gatherings under the stars! Water management was a critical component of the with the natural slope of the yard. The crew designed and installed a French drain system to allow for proper drainage and ensure that water would not pool due to drainage-related concerns. We intentionally incorporated local plants and drought-tolerant elements into our designs to create beauty in the space and promote sustainability. To finish the space, we added a built-in fire pit to the finished seating area, ideal for hanging out with friends and family. We selected brightly colored flowers accented with the green looks to create a alive presentation in the styling of the . Once the was complete, we received feedback from the client that they were "delighted" that they turned their backyard into their place to entertain. The "Backyard Entertaining Space" is an enjoyable outdoor option for them and has improved the overall value of their property.
