About This Project

Classic Contemporary Landscape Design As completed by Matthew Murrey Design, this 'Classic Contemporary Landscape Design' turned a suburban property into an outdoor oasis fusing the modern with the timeless and luxury with sophistication. Our Dallas-based service area, which includes Highland Park, Oak Lawn, University Park, Preston Hollow, Flower Mound, Southlake, Westlake, and Plano, is all creating personalized landscaping based on our client's visions and our custom-built landscape applications. The work is based on a careful layout designed for expansive hardscaping, including natural stone pathways, and a seasoned, geometric bluestone patio. For the contemporary feel of the , we designed and constructed, also using limestone, minimalist water features that offered peaceful sounds, while the rest of the planting is lush and structured and offered interest throughout the year. The plan we proposed and completed was comprised of drought tolerant plants, as we value sustainability and ease of use for the busy homeowners. We were challenged with some varying terrain and dealt with the grading and soil processes to provide the best draining areas and plant health. We worked with specific neighborhood guidelines to ascertain the uniqueness and get to our role as designers in achieving our client's vision for the landscaping, while also following neighborhood guidelines. At the end of the , we delivered a landscaping vision that seamlessly blended form and function and even delighted the client into rest areas, relaxation, hustling and bustling entertaining spaces! We designed areas to host summer gatherings and stare into the night from the outdoor rooms that served the residence as an additional "room" of the house. We enjoyed the process of serving both the homeowners and our commitment as designers to craftsmanship and care for a beautiful landscape.
