This beautiful landscape renovation was designed to create an inviting entrance for a single-family residential property for curb appeal while bringing in the beauty of the natural surroundings. The began with an extensive site assessment, allowing our team to understand the particular challenges presented by the site specifics of the terrain and existing plant material. In a careful blend of native plantings for sustainability and low maintenance, the garden features a beautiful palette of perennials including daylilies, echinacea, and ornamental grasses that are hardy choices for color throughout the seasons. To provide visual interest and structure to the , we utilized natural stone walkways made of locally sourced granite. The walks afford the site a casual path through the planted garden, drawing the visitor toward the front entrance, while accommodating the challenges of Vermont's fickle weather with their durability. Our landscape designer also included custom-built raised flower beds made from repurposed wood. The raised beds bring height and dimension, and facilitate drainage and soil health for placing beautiful plant life. One of the notable challenges on this was the steep slope of the property required an elegant method for approaching a terraced design. Our crew addressed this challenge with all the modifications for the raised beds along with materials to promote erosion, and directed drainage to promote water runoff, thereby developing a safe and gorgeous landscape design. The finished is a stunning entry garden that welcomes guests while reflecting the residents' sense of style and values. The client expressed their excitement and appreciation of the new entry garden and noted how it has become a family gathering space as well for a quiet refuge. With the colors of flowering plants, presence of native plantings, and rustic charm of the stonework, the garden created a true outdoor paradise.
