Entertaining Deck - Seattle, WA The "Entertaining Deck" , completed by Sage and Stone LLC, brought the outdoor space of a homeowner in Seattle, WA, from near total anonymity to an amazing entertainment area. Serving the urban neighborhoods of Ballard, Beacon Hill, Bellevue, Clyde Hill, Medina, Mercer Island, and North Beacon Hill, it was obvious the job demonstrates Mr. McCarthy's commitment to quality and aesthetics to all of Seattle. This consisted of a large outdoor, composite deck that aesthetically combined modern design with the latest material technology to perform in the unpredictable nature of Seattle weather. The deck was built with high-quality, eco-friendly materials that contribute to the beauty and longevity of the space. The layout incorporates built-in seating and planters, allowing for the lush and inviting atmosphere of nature, which is so attractive to outdoor entertaining. One of the challenges of the was the steep slope of the yard, which also required the team to be innovative in working to creatively situationally finish the deck with leveling and stabilization. The sage and stone team utilized natural stone to build retaining walls that enhanced the local landscape and provided the necessary stabilization for the structure. This offered a solution to the structural issues, but also gave the completed entertaining deck a rustic quality. The also incorporates ambient lighting and fire pits, which make the space ideal for both intimate meetings, or large celebrations. The layout and design of the allow an easy transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces of the home, allowing interaction to flow seamlessly. In the end, the addition exceeded the client's expectations by creating a functional, yet inviting space for outdoor living, which ultimately captures the essence of living the outdoor Pacific Northwest lifestyle.
