Waterworks by Ponderosa Landscaping & Stonework Ponderosa Landscaping & Stonework is pleased to present our Waterworks , which simply turned a conventional outdoor space into a peaceful water-themed experience. Situated in beautiful Brewster, MA, Waterworks exemplifies quality and commitment to innovation and natural integrity for our clients located in Cape Cod and beyond, including families located in Chatham, East Dennis, and Provincetown. The centerpiece of Waterworks is a beautiful multi-tiered water feature consisting of both a calm pond and a small waterfall. Designed and constructed using local natural stone, the water feature enhances the landscape and creates a peaceful space for reflection, tranquility, and enjoyment. We further enhanced the pond area with a variety of native plantings including ferns, ornamental grasses, and flowering perennials, that brought not just beauty to the water feature but also ecological benefits through improved habitat and biodiversity. One of the challenges included the existing grade variances of the site and the engineering of ensuring water flow and drainage. Our team designed the landscape to work with the slopes of the site using high-quality materials such as granite boulders, flagstone paths, and other durable materials that added another beauty aspect. To increase usability of the space, we designed a simple, yet elegant natural hardwood seating area to encourage our clients and guests to sit and enjoy the lovely views of the water feature. We also designed and installed soft outdoor lighting, beautifully placed throughout the landscape, to enhance the setting at night and create a magical evening experience to enjoy throughout the seasons. Waterworks stood as a successful marriage of natural beauty and skilled craftsmanship, and our clients are thrilled to have this lovely space as a retreat for their families and friends.
