Wellfleet Rock Wall by Ponderosa Landscaping & Stonework Recently completed in beautiful Wellfleet, Ponderosa Landscaping & Stonework is excited to present the Wellfleet Rock Wall , where the property has made a generational transformation by combining nature and structure. This hand-crafted dry-stone wall is an example of our dedication to quality and craft using granite boulders dug in the local area, which bring together a seamless integration with the coastal Cape Cod environment. To begin the , we visited the property and discussed as a team where the wall should be located in a way that contributed aesthetically to the property as a whole, while also addressing soil erosion. This had its challenges, dealing with the uneven terrain and rocky subsoil, but thanks to our skilled labor staff for helping to address how our installation would be done to maintain the stability and longevity of the . What was ultimately installed is a beautifully appointed wall of stones that were hand-picked for their unique textures and colors strong visual contrast with the surrounding landscape of lush greenery. To create added functionality to the wall, we designed the wall to be used as a natural terrace to enjoy seating and act as a backdrop to native plantings of wildflowers and other local shrubs. All the matter in a dry-stone wall, from placement of the filler stones and capstones to point of drainage to ensure water does not build up behind the wall. It is the strength and beauty of the rock wall that can enhance the property aesthetically while forming an inviting space to enjoy with family and friends. The client was thrilled to see everything come together as we planned, and we appreciate the compliments towards our craft the hard work of the entire crew to complete the job to a high quality that is above all expectations.
