Newcastle Plant Design by Elite Horticulture Services Elite Horticulture Services recently completed a stunning landscape in the beautiful town of Newcastle, WA. The 'Newcastle Plant Design' took an outdoor space at a lovely home and transformed it into a colorful sanctuary that blended nature with contemporary living. The began with a comprehensive site analysis, which unveiled the challenges of inconsistent soil types and partial shade areas. In order to install a landscape that would last and age gracefully, we selected only the best materials, including drought-tolerant plants and locally sourced stone for the paths and retaining walls. The final design included a rich selection of native plants ranging from rhododendrons and ferns to ornamental grasses, allowing for biodiversity, color, and texture. One of the key features to this design was the installation of a custom-designed water feature which was both a focal point and sound mechanism. Our team of craftsmen constructed a multi-tiered waterfall that tumbles directly into a small pond surrounded by additional planting to create an inviting habitat for wildlife. During the course of construction, we faced the challenges of uneven terrain and shady areas where existing tree roots further complicated the planting areas. Fortunately, our skilled team was able to implement solutions such as raised garden beds and plant placement strategy to build a plan that enhances spatial qualities and promotes healthy plant growth. The finished produced a beautiful outdoor retreat that comfortably reflected the homeowners dreams, while adding to the aesthetic appeal of the residence. Thoughtful incorporation adds to the enjoyment, as seating areas and winding paths invite the owners to meander and soak in the outdoor space.
