Bellevue Backyard Remodel by Horticulture Services Overview of the The Bellevue Backyard Remodel is a magnificent transformation by Horticulture Services in Bellevue. Horticulture Services was challenged with creating a space that would change a worn-out outdoor area into a Zen-like sanctuary, combining beauty with function, and ultimately a subtle and serene retreat for our clients. The began with a thorough assessment of the current landscape which presented many challenges such as uneven ground and very little light. Handily, our horticulturists graded and mapped a planting plan to optimize light and beauty. The remodel utilized a custom-built flagstone patio that naturally incorporated itself into the surrounding outdoor environment. This durable, elegant surface that will serve as the perfect gathering place; entertaining friends, or quietly enjoying the evenings and stars late at night. As background to the patio is a selection of native species for our most beautiful landscape. Native planting is highly desirable for usage as it is very resilient and low maintenance. We will have color, interest, and beauty from things that will persist year-round. A beautiful water feature was incorporated with the remodel and included a flowing water fountain! The water features add beauty, visual interest, and the peaceful sounds of running water that invites Zen-like relaxation. To create height and privacy we incorporated ornamental grasses along the outermost edge of the space and flowering shrubs. This protocol added a layered landscape with a lush feel. The last part of the included outdoor lighting to highlight the plantings and illuminate any garden or visitor pathways. Lighting adds the added bonus of extending the space use into the evenings on the patio. From start to finish, our attention to detail and craftsmanship was apparent and resulted in a beautiful detailed yard that exceeded the scope of work.
