East Northport, NY A successful that tied together landscape functionality with beauty by Long Island Landscape Designs Inc. during the heat of the day in East Northport, NY. A large residential backyard was converted into an outdoor paradise to meet the client requirements while lending architectural dimensions to nature. The colourful landscaping included multi-layered native flora garden beds for sustainability and low maintenance. High-quality materials for the pathways (bluestone pavers that are more than 3 years old and still look brand new) and for the rustic stone retaining wall that gave both structural stability and an old-world charm to the landscape were carefully chosen. To complement the garden beauty, decorative boulders and lights were used to create peaceful evening gathering atmosphere. Due to the property being sloped, one of the big challenges we had to overcome was planning and completing the work with the right level of skill. We deftly designed a drainage system to remove and channel water away from pooling and eroding soil, which will help preserve this landscape design over time. We carefully formed the connection between the existing topography and the new and improved so that the transition was as seamless and the space was much more useful and visually appealing. The end product was a stunning landscape filled with plantings that impressed our client with lush greenery and color, along with functional outdoor living areas. The not only uplifted the curbside appearance of the property but also chakr with a witness to our dedication as a home but spiraled into a family greet-remedy.
