Padero Lane, Carpinteria The Aldrich Company - Landscape Design, is excited to showcase the beautiful Padero Lane located in Carpinteria. A brilliant transformation that merges nature with a modern living space. It emphasizes the meaning of craftsmanship and attention to detail, which define our landscape practice throughout the Santa Barbara region, including Goleta, Mission Canyon, Montecito, Summerland, Toro Canyon, and Hope Ranch. The design effort presented quite the challenge; a steep slope to address, which demanded creative interventions for achieving a visually enticing, yet functional space. Quality materials were used, including locally harvested stone and native drought-resistant species, to create a landscape that supported a nature-based solution, respecting our coastal ecosystem. A meandering decomposed granite pathway connects the site and serves accessibility. It entices you to wander in and through the rich verdant landscape. The water feature serves as the focal point, helping carve out a tranquil space for the site while also attracting local wildlife and providing habitat, which offers additional ecological value. A series of seating areas have been positioned at client identified key locations, allowing for space to unwind away from the world, appreciating views of nearby hills and the distant ocean. It has turned out spectacular; the landscape offers a beautifully landscaped space that is beautifully functional, and it ecologically sustainable. We've achieved our ultimate goal of delivering a well-designed space that exceeds our client's expectations. Padero Lane supports a living space in part by creating a space that helps ground the individual with nature's special connection; a perfect gathering space for their family or simply a nice spot to relax and be alone.
