Hot Springs Road, Montecito Located in the serene hills of Montecito, the 'Hot Springs Road' landscaping designed by The Aldrich Company - Landscape Design changed a rugged outdoor space into a serene retreat. The Aldrich Company, serving the beautiful towns of Carpinteria, Goleta, Mission Canyon, Santa Barbara, and beyond, brought its distinctive design approach to this custom . This large landscape renovation respected the beauty of the surrounding area by using drought-tolerant native plants that improve the quality of outdoor places and sustainability. An elegant walkway made of locally sourced flagstone connects multiple outdoor living spaces, allowing for a functional transition between the lush gardens and the inviting patios. One of the challenges for the was working with sloped land and finding innovative grading options that balanced landscaping and drainage needs. The Aldrich Company team successfully built the foundations of the landscape with retaining walls made of natural stone, resulting in tiered garden beds that added dimension and dealt with water runoff. A custom irrigation system was also installed to manage water for the spectrum of plants, drawing on the client's concerns water use and plant health. The materials selected, including reclaimed wood for garden beds and boulders for decorative features, represented sustainability and integration with the environment. The final is a stunning landscape that embodies tranquility and elegance, featuring a fire pit for evenings spent together and a lawn to enjoy nature.
