The design included a series of terraced garden beds that improved access to the planting areas and contributed to a dynamic landscape experience. Retaining walls made of locally sourced stone contributed to the functionality of the terrace and the overall visual experience, linking the garden to the natural flow of the surrounding environment. The natural surface material, combined with the terracing plan, not only stabilized the landscape, but also provided a rustic touch with a coastal feel typical in Montecito.
