About This Project

Landscape at Mamaroneck This is an example of quality landscape design and implementation, by Sean Jancski Landscape Architects LLC. Located in the scenic town of Rye, this faced unique situations that challenged us to think creatively, some of the most creative work I have done. This site features a natural layout of a mix of native plant species, meant to thrive in the local climate and created visual interest throughout the year. It was all done with high-quality materials, including a locally sourced stone for pathways and seating areas. These items are intended to provide aesthetic beauty, durability, and sustainability. There is a custom water feature, adding serenity to the space, serving the role of a central focus to inspire relaxation and contemplation. Throughout all of this, we dealt with the site's natural slope. We were able to implement terracing into the design and create multi-level garden beds. This was able to drain much of the water off the site while still maintaining usable space. The modification has enhanced not only the landscape but the functional capacity of the space as well. The result for the client is a beautiful outdoor oasis in their backyard, integrating themselves within the surrounding nature. The client was ecstatic, and said that the detail we brought to the and how we were able to reflect their vision was exceptional.
