Rye Landscape Rye Landscape is a completed by Sean Jancski Landscape Architects LLC and is the very best in what is possible in modern landscape design for the beautiful Rye area. The involved the conversion of a simple backyard, into a peaceful, exterior room, integrated into the surrounding landform. The overall design has many important native plants (including some ornamental grasses and flowering perennials) that not only enhance the aesthetic of the site, but also contribute to local biodiversity. There is an impressive stone retaining wall made from bluestone from within 20 miles of the site, that adds structural integrity and, at the same time, an impressive visual element. The stone wall is accompanied by a meandering path made from rustic pavers that pulls visitors into the beautiful landscape experience while adding an element of exploration. One of the major challenges on the was addressing the natural drainage of the property. Our team installed an innovative rain garden that captures and filters runoff, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability. This element satisfies drainage challenges and also adds a characteristically colorful habitat for pollinators. The result is a combination of functionality and aesthetic that the client has loved.
