Rockport Road Landscaping The Rockport Road , completed by Ryan Associates Landscape Architecture & Planning, represents the fusion of nature and design while fulfilling our commitment to landscaping excellence. Situated in the heart of Arlington, the residential landscape renovation exampled a conventional yard into an incredible outdoor oasis. The design was detail-oriented and included a combination of native plantings and decorative stone pathways along with sustainable elements used to not only enhance the aesthetic value of the landscape but contribute to local biodiversity. To further accomplish this objectives we chose materials, mostly locally sourced granite for the pathways and patios, in an effort to provide durability while looking pleasing with the architecture. One of the challenges the faced on the site was sloped terrain and finding suitable drainage methods to help prevent erosion from runoff rainwater. We borrowed from terraced gardens, temporarily considering visual drainage techniques to better define various levels of plants while capturing the slope. The result is a beautiful outdoor space with opportunities for leisure and embellishing neighborhoods. The seating area, with customized benches, offered client a memorable gathering space with flowers beds for color with ornamental grasses for seasonal texture. Our commitment to detail and quality has brought joy to our clients. Rockport Road will be a beautiful community setting for years to come.
