The consisted of a redesign of the outdoor space of a private residence into a warm and welcoming space, infused with an element of luxury while enriching the natural beauty of the property. A major highlight of the landscape consists of a beautiful combination of drought-resistant native plants that were selected to grow in the coastal environment while allowing for low water utilization. The landscape design created beautiful stone pathways out of local flagstone, fashioned to give an organic approach to separating various garden beds. The outdoor living area, featuring a rustic pergola and a fire pit, is a fantastic space for family dynamics or having friends and family over to entertain. The Aldrich Company faced several challenges during the course of the due to uneven and jagged terrain and varying levels of sunlight from different angles. They successfully incorporated grading into the new landscape design by selecting planting that would thrive in the designated sunlight or shaded spaces. High-quality materials sourced from reclaimed timber for the structure of the pergola was used along with mulch that was environmentally friendly to help the sustainability of the . In the end, this landscape looks wonderful and adds aesthetic value to the overall property while also respecting the local ecosystem. The clients, delighted with the outcome now get to experience a well-integrated outdoor space that feels like an extension of their home and is representative of both their lifestyle, love for the outdoors, and the quality craftsmanship that the Aldrich Company offers.
