Outdoor Family Space by Rock Paper Clippers At Rock Paper Clippers, we are always excited to rethink outdoor spaces to become useful and usable spaces. The Outdoor Family Room is a perfect example of this ethos and seamlessly connects the outdoors and comfort together in a beautiful landscape for families in Belmont, Emerald Lake Hills, Highlands-Baywood Park, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, and West Menlo Park. As with most of our s, we started with a goal in mind: a multifaceted outdoor living space intended for family connection and relaxation. After mapping out a plan, we immediately faced hurdles such as sloping ground and pre-existing issues with drainage. We were able to address these obstacles to develop a solid starting point for the . Our skilled craftsmen leveled the surface of the area and were able to put drainage measures in place at this stage which will allow this area to drain while remaining dry and usable year-round. The design features an ample patio space made of high-quality, slip-proof porcelain tiles; not only is this material very durable, it is a great, modern look. The decor features a custom built pergola made of sustainably sourced cedar with both shade and character as well as well-designed furniture that is comfortable and weather-resistant where families can relax outside. Also included in the design are grassy areas lined with native plantings for color and beauty that promote biodiversity and are generally maintenance free. The includes a fire pit made from natural stone materials along with an outdoor kitchen which includes stainless steel appliances; living spaces were created for and around family gatherings and entertaining guests. Landscape lighting also punctuates the beauty of the plants and structures which dance and even sparkle in the evenings. The resulted in an intentional harmony of function and beauty, as virtually everything was designed for and included and curated thoughtfully for the lifestyle of this family. The happy clients can now enjoy their 'Outdoor Family Room' space that will create memories, laughter, and family time for ages to come .
