Small Town Retreat Featured Small Town Retreat | Lawncare by Walter, Inc. has always worked hard to push the status quo for everyday families in our service area from Belvidere, Cherry Valley, and Rockford, with a True Outdoor Living® approach to landscaping. The craftsmanship of the home was purposefully designed to complement the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, and provide an effortless respite from the fast-paced nature of modern everyday living. At the heart of this retreat is a low-maintenance, but beautiful, custom patio made from premium natural stone. Lined alongside this patio are stylish flowerbeds featuring a variety of perennials and annuals selected for their hues and seasonal blooms. We added energy-efficient LED lighting to make this space usable after dark and during the day. The yard was quite uneven, so want a lot of grading and retaining walls built, to try to make it a level, usable area muidger#; `zzzzwzwdc We used local materials to make sure it fits in with the environment, and saves transport cost and carbon footprint. Along with the patio, we built a tranquil little water feature (which attracts wildlife, helps us breathe, and makes beautiful sounds that encourage us to be alivethat's very nice) The native plants our landscape design team chose not only mesh with the local climate, but will be relatively low-maintenanceexactly what the homeowners wanted for their sustainable garden. The culmination of all of our efforts is a wonderful outdoor space that goes beyond what the client had envisioned. It became the home to all our family gatherings, a place to have friends over and escape from it all into the tranquility of nature, our own little Sanctuary, which we dubbed the “Small Town Retreat”.
