About This Project

Time to Remaster a Disaster · Maker: Lawncare by Walter, Inc. Lawncare by Walter, Inc. also launched a called "Time to Remaster a Disaster" to turn a run-down, vacant-overgrown yard into an outdoor dream-scape in the middle of Rockford. Hitting all stops between Belvidere and the city of Oregon our team refused to leave this area without maximizing this space. The began with a detailed survey of what was already there: a colony of invasive weeds, scruffy shrubs and an unwelcoming landscape. Our experienced team took this challenge as an opportunity to create a plan that prioritised both shape and functionality. We cleared invasive species and adopted sustainable practices that focus on native plants that are well-suited to our local environment. We installed beautiful ornamental flower beds containing perennials and grasses flowering from spring through fall, which provided color and attracted the local pollinators. Locally quarried flagstone was used to create a flat stone pathway that graces the garden, offering easy access to all parts of the yard and helping to transition seamlessly from the home to the outdoor living areas. We also built a fire pit which we made cozy and inviting with natural boulders and seating, making it a beautiful spot to get together year-round. It showed in the construction and everything we did. Using premium soil and organic mulch for longevity we also made sure to pay close attention during installation for a clean finish. The result? Not only did it create an eye-catching landscape to compliment the home's curb appeal, but it provided the homeowners with a place to escape. They beamed as they gazed at their newly transformed space a space that was tailored to their aesthetic and a home that showcases who they are and embraces their love for the outdoors.
