A link Ninety percent of the concept of indoor-outdoor living is the marriage of exterior and interior design.Rendered as an enticing amenity, the art of indoor-outdoor living is a well-documented element of contemporary design, but just because evolution of this modernized notion exists, does not mean it has taken off equally amid the masses rendered among architectural design prowess. So far gone are the days of the one-size-fits-all home that focuses solely on skin-deep looks. Set in the idyllic coastal region of La Jolla, the combines indoor comfort with outdoor beauty while satisfying the sophisticated taste of our distinguished client. The design and undertaking was to construct a multifunctional area to signify the space between an indoors goodness and an outdoors peacefulness. Using porcelain tiles and natural stone pathways, we achieved a premium finishing without compromising the quality of materials to adhere a uniform look and feel with the natural surroundings. We integrated native plantings and ornamental grasses that are low maintenance and drought-tolerant to reflect our commitment to sustainable landscaping solutions. Perhaps the biggest hurdle we had to overcome was the slope of the property we had to grade the entire spot, as well as build a few retaining walls to achieve a horizontal foundation for the outdoor living space. We also installed a custom drainage to help mitigate water runoff and to promote longevity of both hardscapes and plantings. The end result is a stunning sanctuary with an expansive entertaining patio equipped with a gourmet outdoor kitchen and fire pit for stargazing get-togethers. A calming water feature provides a soothing element, while softly lit sections showcase the beauty of the landscape during the night.
