Kindergarten Courtyard Company: Earth Essence Designs Scroll For More Bethesda & Chevy Chase Area Posts Service Area Bethesda, Chevy Chase, DC (Washington), North Bethesda, North Kensington, Rockville, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, White Oak, Potomac, Wheaton Earth Essence Designs, is proud to deliver the 'Kindergarten Courtyard', a colourful landscaping initiative that is designed to build an outdoor space for early learners that is both engaging and safe. Located in a busy neighborhood, this area was designed to be a whimsical escape a place for creativity and discovery. The design team designed the courtyard with permeable pavers, soft rubber surfacing and native plantings that are designed to last and provide a kid-friendly experience. The design includes a flower garden, boulders to encourage tactile interaction, and a sensory pathway with fragrant herbs. Overcome what the major challenges was the drainage issue that caused space to be prone to puddling. Earth Essence Designs scaled up that solution, creating an innovative rain garden that not only addressed stormwater, but also served as a teaching tool with respect to local ecology. The outcome has served to create an integrated landscape that fosters biodiversity and also educates children regarding the significance of saving water. Finally, custom-made wooden benches and picnic tables were installed to encourage children to come together, collaborate and explore nature. Shade structures make sure that the courtyard stays cool even on the hottest days, while trees have been judiciously planted to act as natural shade canopies. At its completion, the Kindergarten Courtyard became a valuable asset to the classroom space; much to the delight of the client who was particularly impressed by its aesthetics that integrate with the functional spaces. Not only does this illustrate Earth Essence Designs' promise to quality and creativity, it also shows how we strive to make a mark in the community with both teachers and children.
