Front Yard Pollinator Paradise Earth Essence Designs is dedicated to making outdoor spaces feel lively and natural. Nestled in Bethesda, MD, our latest , the Front Yard Pollinator Paradise, is a beautiful expression of both sustainability and beauty. DescriptionThis redesigned a traditional front yard to create a beautiful, sustainable landscape that welcomes pollinators like bees and butterflies, while improving the curb appeal. This palette, carefully curated by our experts, features plant species such as milkweed, coneflower, and black-eyed Susan that are native to the area and flourish in the local climate. They are all great for pollinators, and require little-to-no maintenance to keep the yard looking good around the year. The existing hardscape posed challenges in terms of drainage and limiting sunlight, which was one of the key challenges we faced. In response, we decided to regrade the yard and use permeable pavers, which allows water to absorb while preventing excessive runoff. We added an adorable stone path to direct traffic through the garden and to a patio/retreat where we can sit and enjoy nature up close. A decorative water feature, a tiny pond with surrounding perennial plantings, was also included to further enrich the pollinator oasis. Not only does this act as a source of hydration for wildlife but it also provides the homeowners with a calming atmosphere. Rounding out the design was a rustic style wooden trellis surrounding climbing flowers, adding vertical interest and an eye catching feature when the landscape wraps around the home. The results from the 'Front Yard Pollinator Paradise' were nothing short of spectacular. Homeowners were ecstatic to find their once-typical backyard evolved into a vibrant ecosystem bringing a plethora of pollinators in their yard. This is one of our pride s proving just the quality of Earth Essence Designs in landscaping, not only did we add beauty to their property, but also they felt much closer to nature.
