Situated in the heart of Bethesda, this served double duty as a means to enhance outdoor living while solving critical landscape drainage problems that had beleaguered the property for years. At the heart of this is an exquisite patio built using high-quality, all-weather pavers that are energy-efficient. Subtle earth-tone hues that blend into the natural landscape make the space a warm and welcoming spot for family and friends to gather and entertain. A beautiful high-quality cedar wood pergola supplements the patio that is naturally resistant to decay and insects. It shade during hotter summer days yet open enough for dappled sunlight to shine in and lend an air of calm amidst the sun. Climbing vines add some greenery overhead to complete the look of a pergola. Fixing the insufficient drainage system that contributed to pools of standing water in spots all over the yard was a pivotal issue we faced. We installed a full drainage plan with some French drains and dry wells to keep the new patio and pergola safe by not allowing standing water underneath. This upgraded the outdoor functionality and lifespan of the structures as well. The end result was simply stunning. Our client was delighted with their new outdoor retreat, integrating the two into a beautiful & functional escape.
