About This Project

Beacon Hill Transformation West Edge Landworks LLC is excited to share the transformation of a landscape at Beacon Hill, an exciting residential landscape improvement that redefined outdoor living in one of the most well-recognized Seattle neighborhoods. The was the design and installation of a lush Garden Oasis that both enhanced and integrated with the natural topography and architectural features of the house. A planned layout including lush beds of flowers, native plantings, and sustainable hardscaping was central to the idea of garden oasis. Locally sourced stone paving created seamless pathways and patios that transitioned between the indoor and outdoor spaces. A custom designed fire pit surrounded by unique, natural boulders created a cozy place to gather in the evenings or host friends. The steep slope of the property was the biggest challenge for the design, requiring us to create a series of innovative terracing options. Our team of designers and builders engineered the series of retaining walls utilizing reclaimed timber to achieve the final result and added to the aesthetic of the spaces. In tandem with our design, an active irrigation system utilizing collected rainwater ensured the plants not only survived, but thrived, during dry spells evident in the trees and shrubbery throughout Seattle. The end result was truly a stunning site. The client was overjoyed with their oasis, featuring a colorful array of seasonal blooms, usable and fragrant herbs, and and a localized collection of birds and bees. Ultimately, this beautifully enhanced the overall value and curb appeal of the property.
