Brookline Backyard Village Stonesmith Gardens & Masonry is excited to announce the Brookline Backyard, which encourages all our ongoing s to take precedent over our quality and craftsmanship. Located in the heart of Brookline, this was envisioned to create a welcoming outdoor space for families to gather and enjoy on those quite summer evenings. The consisted of an inviting assortment of natural stone paths, custom masonry walls, and stunning gardens that acquiesced seamlessly to the existing landscape. The slopes of the yard posed a unique challenge, yet this landform inspired the multi-level composition, enhancing the space aesthetically, but providing secluded spaces for seating and planting. Our artisans utilized locally-sourced granite blocks for the walls adding an element of permanence and design appropriate to the New England aesthetic. Complementing the stonework we used a variety of native plants and perennials that will have a presence throughout the seasons and withstand the variability of climate changes and garden conditions. Soft bench lights were implemented to accentuate the path and garden features in the evening creating an enchanted experience and sense of space after dark. The final results were smiles and excitement from the clients, who are enjoying the Pond Street pastures with stunning gardens, keep their memories fresh. What once was a forgotten backyard is now an enchanting haven, equal parts sophistication and comfort. This is a testament to Village Stonesmith's knowledge, eye for detail, quality of work, and dedication to exceeding our client's ideas of excellence. While serving areas from Belmont to Weston - are delighted to be building and beautifying outdoor spaces throughout Greater New England!
