About This Project

Landscape with and without Children: Earth Essence Designs is proud to have rolled out the Incorporating Kids in the Landscape , a colorful re-conceptualization of outdoor venues in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, DC, and neighbouring regions. The initiative was to create a playful but functional landscape to inspire the children with a beautiful view to the home. The design comprised a quirky medley of local flora, engagements and sustainable materials. We put in a sensory garden with bright blossoms, aromatic herbs and textured plants for the children to explore. The playhouse features climbing vines and natural mulch for that inner-child experience. With the challenge of a wide variety of people, elements to make sure to get into the garden, as well, we carefully planned in pathways that safely navigated little adventurers through the garden, making sure the whole space is accessible. Walkways were completed with permeable pavers to aid rainwater drainage and mitigate environmental impact. The end-product is a glorious landscape combining beauty and play. The happy clients now have a green and colourful place for children to learn, discover and play immersed in Vegetation. Not only does this add value to your property, but also helps build a community and joy of spending outdoors. Earth Essence Designs focuses on inspiring, engaging and cohabitating with the landscape.
