Fulton Landscaping - Green Grass Landscape Contractors Located in Charleston, the Fulton highlights the artisanal and craftsmanship that Green Grass Landscape Contractors is known for around the Lowcountry (Charleston, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, Johns Island, Mount Pleasant, Sullivans Island, and Kiawah Island). The clients wanted to create a tranquil outdoor escape that flowed into the landscape, inspiring the vernacular landscape and backyard transformation. The plans were well thought-out, using plant materials from native plants that would grow in a coastal environment, which would add beauty and sustainability. Our landscape contractors carefully selected different types of plants, including salt-tolerant grasses, flowering perennials, and live oaks, to create different height and layering that uniquely invites exploration. The team added hardscape using natural stone, which had been quarried 30 miles away in West Virginia, and incorporated pathways that vomited from and through the garden into the seating area. Our team crafted an inviting focal point from a set of wooden benches and firepit using reclaimed bricks from a local brewpub. Existing elevation changes and drainage were an issue on top of the existing high water table in this area. With a specific grading plan, the landscape architects solved the water flow issue while also creating a good slope and grade of planting elements to increase aesthetic value from the planting spaces. The end result is awe-inspiring with the mixed selection of plants designed to add to the existing and natural beauty of the Lowcountry while creating a peaceful environment outside the owners' doors. The Fulton was a success in terms of quality of work and responsiveness to the owners' satisfaction. The owners are delighted with their new outdoor space that provides a fun and appealing framework, hopefully, for years of family and friends!
