Daniel Island Do-Over The was completed by Green Grass Landscaping and Contractors. The 'Daniel Island Do-Over' showcases the craftsmanship and talents of Green Grass Landscape Contractors. This client reached out to the Green Grass team to revitalize their outdoor space that had gone stale and needed a landscape overhaul. Our team was to restore beauty and function to an outdoor space. The completed included a breathtaking selection of native plantings, carefully chosen because they would thrive in the existing conditions and enhance the overall aesthetic. Drought-tolerant plants were included, like Salvia, Coreopsis and native ferns to maintain a dynamic palette year-round with little maintenance. A stunning stone path made of locally sourced flagstone runs across the length of the garden to lead visitors to a quaint outdoor seating area framed by lovely greenery. We had to address drainage issues that had existed before we arrived on site, and our team was able to construct a very complex subsurface drainage system that took the excess water away from the home and gave a healthier environment for the new plantings to thrive in. Additionally, we created a vegetable garden out of a meditatively forgotten corner of the yard that now features raised veggie boxes made from reclaimed wood for sustainability and nutrient-dense local food. We were proud to complete this and transform the land so that the clients could enjoy their new oasis for the outdoors for relaxing and entertaining.
