About This Project

Detail the Old Landscape for New Look Green Grass Landscape Contractors has completed an extensive makeover called "Old Landscape for New Look" for our clients in the scenic areas of Charleston, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, Johns Island, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan's Island, and Kiawah Island. This demonstrated an emphasis on quality workmanship and design. Originally this space was filled with overgrown shrubs and obsolete hardscaping to warrant a makeover to blend in with the coastal natural environment. The task of this work was to renew the landscape using careful planning and premium materials. The plan included removing invasive plants and replacing with native plants to create an area with biodiversity while thriving in our coastal climate. The featured the installation of a beautiful flagstone pathway that meandered through a garden of ornamental grasses and bold perennial flowering plants. Locally sourced stone was implemented for durability and to blend in aesthetically with the natural landscape. The design also included a custom built, wooden pergola for a shaded retreat for relaxation and entertaining in the outside setting. The pergola will eventually be home to climbing jasmine blossoming over time. There were many design challenges with uneven landscaped area and drainage. The work included a well thought out grade and easy management drainage system to solve this and ensure the landscape can withstand the elements to sustain health. The result was a dramatic transformation when our clients returned to view the space as they now had outdoor space clearly designed for usability, functionality, and elegance. This was "Old Landscape for New Look" from a space that is more inviting for family and friends and improved senescence and curb appeal.
