About This Project

Kiawah Island - Green Grass Landscape Contractors Located in the picturesque setting of Kiawah Island, the landscape design for this is a demonstration of our commitment to quality and careful craftsmanship. This extensive property includes a wonderful mix of coastal plants and unique design features that create an idyllic outdoor retreat. We choose native plants, including salt-spray tolerant grasses, flowering perennials, and robust shrubs, to enhance the native landscape while surviving the island’s environment. For product features, we included local materials such as oyster shell walks and tabby concrete to create friendly walks naturally into the environment. The varied topography throughout the was a challenge that required creative grading activities for proper water management. Our experienced staff implemented drainage practices that worked beautifully to support an ongoing lush landscape, even during a heavy rain. We have also developed a custom irrigation system that allows for efficient water use while maintaining the landscape and watering the plants necessary for their well-being. The result is a stellar oasis that includes a peaceful garden space, a custom water feature waterfall, firepit, and lighting for the enjoyment of the property after dark. The client took delight in the change, stating that the traditional architecture and the new outdoor landscape design blended seamlessly.
