Description of the Woodland Garden on a Slope Terrascapes Landscape Design is excited to present the Woodland Garden on a Slope-a new example of how we help redefine outdoor beauty in New England. Located on a stunning site, the Woodland Garden is the epitome of our sincere and steady commitment to merging nature with landscape design and the communities of Arlington, Brookline, Newton, and everything in between. s can be challenging, especially when they involve steep slopes, but with the right design and plan we are able to deliver functional landscapes designed to withstand the rigor of the New England climate. Our design team built terraced planting beds from stone sourced from a local place to create stability and beauty for new native plant selections, such as ferns, ornamental grasses, and wildflowers, that add texture and are beneficial for biodiversity. To reduce erosion and increase sustainability we employed a more advanced drainage technique as a part of the landscape system. We utilized permeable pavers for the paths in the garden to create beautiful, open, indoor outdoor paths that allow for more water to escape while collecting water runoff and treating it in properly draining dirt. The Woodland Garden became the serine woodland retreat for the client that allowed them to unwind the stresses of the day. Nestled in the sounds of a bubbling brook and the colors of bloom, the Woodland Garden welcomes nature in and invites families to enjoy life outside. Our client expressed they were thrilled with their results and that it was their number one favorite wooded retreat.
